vva_logo_wshadow.jpgVVA is VMW's parent organization.  VMW would not be where it is today without the support and guidance of Vietnam Veterans of America.  Thank you VVA! Founded in 1978, Vietnam Veterans of America is the only national Vietnam veterans organization congressionally chartered and exclusively dedicated to Vietnam-era veterans and their families. VVA is organized as a not-for-profit corporation and is tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(19) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.

VetJobs makes it easy to reach transitioning military, National Guard, Reserve Component Members and veterans that have separated over the last several decades and are now productive members of the civilian work force in all disciplines, and their family members.  VetJobs is a leading source for candidates with security clearances!

nrdlogo.gifThe National Resource Directory (NRD) is an online tool for wounded, ill and injured Service Members, Veterans, their families, and those who support them. The NRD provides access to more than 11,000 services and resources at the national, state and local levels that support recovery, rehabilitation and community reintegration.

banner-army.pngIn the more than 200 years of our nation’s history there has never been an officially recognized symbol that reminds us daily of the sacrifices made by members of our military and the lives lost in service to our country. We propose the Honor and Remember Flag as a national emblem for that purpose. Click here to sign the petition.

Purpose
1) To raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women,
2) To help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and
3) To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.

I am a former Marine that LOVES the Corps! Ever since I left in 2000, I have tried to find ways to give back to the institution that had given so much to me (and still does to this day). For a while that meant volunteering with the Marine Corps League, and it also meant serving as a spouse who willingly supported my husband when he volunteered to serve in Iraq.

Commencing with the launch of its US Marines website on the Marine Corps Birthday in 2003, Togetherwerserved.com has produced a series of US Military community heritage websites specially created to enable current or former serving US Servicemen and women to reconnect with old friends and share in the camaraderie of others who served.

Transitioning Veteran is dedicated to helping veterans who have or are in the process of separating from the military and who are looking for information on veteran benefits. Transitioning Veteran is a website that helps guide veterans directly to what I feel are very useful links, when searching for information on education, work and medical benefits.
